SilverBackSuperCrew do you have a part number/pic of the rubber isolators?

I am definitely going to have to remove that intake tube with the Heimholz (sp?) filters and reroute some hoses. I am hoping the Airaid kit for the 5.0 that is supposed to be coming out sometime soon will look good. I would like a polished tube ( I think). What are you going to do?

FYI: There are 2 different engine covers, one for auto transmission and one with manual. The auto one (I believe) has 2 cut outs at the front where the manual has 1.

Thanks! Just ordered them. I will have mine tomorrow. It is hard to imagine what those will connect to on top of the engine.

What are you doing to get the intake tube out of the way?

This is what I could look like.
The first picture shows that it will actually fit IF you get everything out of the way. I will route the heater hoses down to the left above the strut tower. I bought some 3/4' heater hose and some elbows, so I don't think that will be very difficult. The fuel lines will hide nicely under the cover when this is complete.

The problem is that 1. I don't have the CAI yet and/or haven't bought the tubes to replace the stock intake tube. The stock intake tube is definitely in the way.

2. The vacuum lines and overflow to the coolant is going to have to be moved as well. I may have to cut a notch in the front of the cover similar to what is on the left of the throttle body for that.

Now to find the correct sized intake tubing.

Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions to this project?

Nice progress! The pics are great.

Have you looked at the Rousch CAI? That is most likely where I'm headed. The intake tube is a better fit for the cover (looks like).

Keep it going!
