Thats why I have a switch that allows me to shut it off when in the city.

Is it really necessary to have two LED's for the back? I am thinking one is enough....

One might be enough if you place it in the center. Most people get two so it looks even and has equal illumination on each side. One light offset will cause a shadow on the opposite side

No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste.' ----Patches O'Houlihan

Uhmmm, no, that's why I used 4 to the rear..... If 1's enough, 4 are more than enough.

I had the same problem with the tinted windows. I had put LED bulbs in first and that did not help enough. I just tapped in to the center pin on the trailer plug and then grounded the lights to themselves. They have only been on a couple of months, but accomplished what I needed to.
I have not posted pictures because I have embarrassingly not gone and tucked the wires yet - I wanted to see if they made a difference before I cleaned them all up.
I started with one light (to see if they were decent quality) and then purchased another one
If my math is correct we have a 1.5 amp draw per light assembly above. Hard to think how that amp draw would cause any issues with the factory fuse.

Might not cause an issue with a fuse, but I had other issues.

I had similar cheap lights (LED) that I tapped into my reverse lights. They screwed up my reverse camera.

Changed the wiring over to the 7 pin and had no issues since. Also wised up and bought Rigid flush mounts after those lasted about a year.

I installed a pair of the Signstek flood lights from Amazon someone posted earlier in the thread, so far they work great! My camera is useable at night, and I can reverse without rolling down my tinted windows.

I ran a new fused hot wire from the battery, grounded the lights to their mounting bracket like someone else suggested, and mounted the switch on the trim piece near the dimmer switch.

Used my backup camera at night to hook up my trailer for the first time the other day and couldn't see the tongue, so I am glad I ran across this thread. I decided to recess mine though. I spend a lot of time on the road, and I don't want to give anybody any extra reasons to mess with my truck.
