Hi all, super long time lurker on the site, just signed up. I am having my local installer to the Metra kit set up this Friday, if all goes to plan I'll post some pics. Big shout out to Mudder, appreciate all the posts in this thread (and to the others). Cheers. Jesse

 

Please post as soon as you have it installed as I can get the PAC right now instead of waiting for the Metra. If the screen quality stinks I may just go with the PAC. I do like how the Metra retains all of the vehicle info like temp and tire pressure...ETC.

well gentlemen, just spoke with my installer to confirm Friday's install, looks like I'm going with the Scosche, like you all said Metra too hard to get their hands on... I'll let you all know how it goes. JH

 

I have the Metra in hand and am getting the install on Monday. I will report back probably next Wednesday since they said they needed it for a couple days for the rest of the stuff I am getting done.

 

I just ordered a PAC from EBay for $225 after Ebay bucks so I'm prepared

 

Get the PAC then the Scosche is the bottom of all lists

No not easily or everyone would be doing it. It can be done but there is so much involved it's not worth it. You need to buy modules, make your own wiring harness.....and a lot more. I'm a tech guy and it was way too much for me.

 

Thanks for that fast reply, really appreciate, One last question, Did you also use an 8 inch ford display and also the harness that plugs to the 4 inch monitor, does this come directly from the apim module. I could easily make a harness, I also have an 8 inch touch screen with the module, Just don't have the wiring diagram, also have the base from another donor , Please reply when you have time, I am also working on getting the wiring diagram
