Hey guys name is Seth I'm new here so share some love. I have 2010 4x4 xlt with the 5.4. Since I've owned it I put on a magnaflow exhaust. 2.5 HBS level. 20x9 +18 xd hoss. 33" 12.5 nitto trail grapps. 6kHID LED interior and fogs. B&W stow away hitch. I would like a programmer, cold air, and new grille.
My 13' FX4 Screw had a nick name... guzzleboost! That thing drank gas like I drink tequila... ok, it drank more than I do, but it was terrible on gas. I also noticed that the quality of gas made a huge difference.
eg:
Recent Costco gas, highway driving = 12.5 mpg driving at 70 mph.
Petro Canada, highway driving = 15.5 mpg driving at 70 mph.
Truck specs: 13' F150 FX4 Screw with appearance, 3.73 gearing, tonneau cover, spray in bed liner, 30,000 miles
Even with good gas, this mileage was really poor. I wonder if ethanol played a part in the poor mileage.
Anyhow, I just traded guzzleboost in for a new truck and this solved my mileage issues. The trade was based on my truck requirements, not mileage but none the less...
The new truck is a 15' F-350 Powerstroke Platinum with the 6.75 box. First highway trip with no mileage on the truck netted 18 mpg. Hmm, so I now have a 8000 lbs truck with a 6.7 liter engine (albeit diesel) and my mileage is better. Makes me wonder if Ram and Nissan are onto something...

Why do you have 373 gearing. That will make it drink fuel.
