The Ultimate MPG thread.
Nope, it's all US units.
Keep it below 100 km/h and look what happens
. This was driving around Calgary for the day running errands - in & out of traffic.
For my truck, ~ 80-90km/h is the gold (about 45 mph for the yanks !
). As long as I stay between 65 km/hr & 100 km/h this truck just sips fuel compared to my last SUV.

11 f150 screw 4x4 with 3.55, 5.0 engine, tonneau cover. Trip from Pa to Port Clinton Ohio, 3 passengers and fishing gear, 400 miles each way. On way out, running 70 -75 was 19.6, on the way back, running 68-78 was 19.2. I drive pretty conservatively and stay with the traffic, no abrupt passing or swift accelleration. I was a little heavier on tha way back as we had three coolers filled with fish and ice. Lots of mountains both ways. Not too bad considering all things.
When I test my mileage, I always base it on a round trip. Changes in elevation on a one-way trip make a big difference, sometimes as much as 2mpg, even in Michigan.
Are others measuring by the round trip?
Recent mileage test with 80+ mile round trips. Average around 74 mph:
20.5 mpg highway E-10
16.5 mpg highway E-85
2011 Supercrew, 2wd, 3.73 rear w/trailer package. 5.0.
