Known fact they make your vehicle more visible to other traffic thus prolonging useability of said vehicle and possibly lengthening the quality of your life. What's your life worth? Pretty sure it's more than the cost of a new bulb.

I'm in Canada and have a 2013 with DRL's. It's been 3 years and I have yet to change a headlight bulb or any bulb for that matter.

Probably controlled by the body control module like earlier years, can't pull a fuse without killing some other system.

Don't know. But as I said, it's probably controlled by the body control module, if there is a relay it's going to be integral with the module.

So are we talking your headlights being on, or just the ambers? My ambers are on all the time in drive. It seems like others are talking about their headlights being on all the time while in drive.

I think if your truck came with OEM HID headlights your ambers are your DRLs and if you have Halogen headlights the headlights are your DRLs.

Just to give some credence to what has already been said, DRLs can be turned on/off completely or changed from the amber lights to the headlights(or vice-versa) from the 2013 model year or newer.

I just went to my local dealer Saturday morning and had mine activated on my 2013. I was watching the tech as he hooked up the computer to my truck and navigated the menus. When he got to the DRL function menu there was an option to use the headlights(at 80% power) or amber lights. I chose the amber lights since I plan to add HID bulbs to my truck soon.

Disclaimer, this is all applicable to a halogen equipped vehicle. I'm not sure the options on an HID equipped vehicle.
