Why is there such an aversion to DRLs? What harm does it do? Why not simply leave the feature enabled?

Personal preference. Only harm it does is shorten the life span of the bulbs.

In the last ~30 years I've owned and driven multiple vehicles in Canada, pretty much all equipped with DRLs, and I can never remember having an issue with the life span of the bulbs.

I don't have any issues with DRLs but if my truck has the feature to turn them on/off...I want that feature.

I see dozens of GM vehicles running around every day with one light burned out, GM has them as standard equipment.

Hey I’m using Forscan to turn on my DRL,I see the “ enable” so I chose that , and chose low beam option , but now the interior lashes on and off continuously. Did this happen at the dealer ? Any help would be appreciated. We imported this truck from us and now need DRL.
