Default Running lights on constantly

My amber running lights (front parking lights) are on constantly whether the headlights are on or off, or if I have the auto lights set to on. They are off when in park and the truck is running, but come on whenever I put it in drive.
Is this common for everyone? Also, I believe my truck was first sold in Canada so could this possibly be a Canadian requirement and not a U.S. one?
I drive a 2013 FX4 Screw with 5.0
Thanks, Jeff

DRLs are required in Canada. Your dealer or someone with an IDS should be able to turn off the DRLs.

Yup, if the truck was 1st sold in CA then it has DTRL activated (lights up the front running lights) when in drive. As Nassty posted, it can be deactivated with the proper equipment.

On mine, the headlights are on all the time as DRLs. I don't see all the trucks on the road like this, so I wonder why some were activated and others not in the U.S.?

I have same issue on my 15 XLT, dealer said they can look into it with IDS. There should be an option in productivity menu but on models with DRLs always on the option is gone.

Used. Truck was new in Ohio and was a one-owner.
