speed is not the contributing factor in most accidents. Its perfectly safe to drive fast if you know what youre doing. However driving to fast for conditions or in heavy traffic and messing with the radio or phone while driving fast can cause accidents, but ultimately its not the speed that cause it, its the distraction. The faster you are going the harder you crash. Obviously its not a good idea to drive faster than conditions allow, and lots of people dont understand what those conditions are sadly so its idiot drivers that give speeding a bad name.

Well the sad thing is most people think they can handle high speed driving can't. That would make speed a factor in an accident. If everyone would do us all a favor and drive the speed limit or 5 over is fine. I make a living on the road. I don't need some idiot who thinks he or she can drive fast killing me.
however its the inability to drive that causes the accident, not speed, odds are they would crash anyway no matter at what speed. over 80 percent of all accidents are caused by some sort of distraction or driver error, not speed.
I'm closing this thread. Its useless. If you need a reason why, this thread pretty much sums it all up... mostly.
Bottom line: These trucks are capable of going triple digit speeds, sure. Should they be taken there by people who think they can handle it (but realize they can't the hard way)? No. Should it be done on public streets when there's actually people around going at or near the posted speed limit that will potentally become caught up in your aforementioned epiphany? No. Will we allow threads like this on this forum? No.
In closing... many people claim they can handle high speeds and drive responsibly while at those speeds. Its people in this thread that tell me without dispute that they can not. Reason being? Well, since you asked... people that can actually responsibly and coherently handle high speeds have a skill that has yet to be reflected anywhere in this thread- that is the ability to recognize the proper vehicle to be obtaining those speeds and the appropriate places to do it. Everyone's a Jeff Gordon or Christian Fitipaldi until they wipe out or get caught.
