95 mph really says something about the limits of our trucks to be safe. There has to be a reason the speed is limited as such.

While I am by no means scared of speed, a 6000lbs truck going over 95mph anywhere by a race track is reckless, IMHO. If people want to go fast, I really hope they have a vehicle that can stop quickly and also maneuver at that speed and I don't think any vehicle the size of ours is able to do so.

Buy a Mustang if you want to go over 100 mph.

I worked for a firm once that made you take a license test if you ever wanted to drive one of their vehicles. They showed us a video of a truck trying to stop at 55 versus 45 and the distance was significant. It could cost someone their life. Since then, I don't speed anymore.

find a mattres in your line in the I95, with cars at your both sides, at over 95mph and let me know if you were able to swerve on time to avoid it without flipping the truck....

I never had the speed over 85 in my truck and going 85 was by accident. The thing with these trucks 65 feels the same as 85. At those speeds these trucks ride smooth.
Now that I'm back in a F150 after 4 years controlling my highway speed w/o setting cruise is a crap shoot. I'll be doing 65 and the next thing I know my speedo is up to 80 or so.

Exactly. You dont realize the speed change until you look at the speedo.

just did a trip up to vegas from arizona and 100mph would have been nice to be able to cruise at, it was a little dangerous trying to pass someone and then the acceleration cuts out....

yea i used to have a lead foot til i become the fuzz
ive seen so many horrible freak accidents that it just leaves an imprint in your head
everyone thought they were the best driver in the world, and some were just poor victims of people who thought they could control it
