Default Fair trade?

Ok im new to this section of the forum but im looking for things i should look for on this truck. A guy wants to trade me a 1978 f150 with a 460 that he was garunteed to make 400 hp. He wants to trade me for a 1993 explorer with a bad tranny and a grasshopper zero turn mower. Anything i need to beware of on this gen. Truck? I only have these really crappy pics he sent me.

Tell him to show you the dyno printout. He won't have one.

I don't know the big blocks very well. I do know he would have had to spend an *** load of money to get 400hp though. You would think he would have thrown some of that money at the body.

I agree but he says the cab an fenders have no rust. I just wish the guy could take better pics. Little does he know i only have 500 in the explorer and 475 in the mower.

Cab and fenders have no rust. The bed and frame must be shot.

i have had 2 of these trucks but both of mine had the 351m in them. i was not nice to them they were my play trucks but they seemed to keep going. to work on them is not hard you can fix just about anything on that gen, in no time..

I can't give good advise on that particular gen of truck, but I would make the trade. After driving the truck and making sure it will get you around of course.
