Is It Time To Remove The Keyless Entry Buttons?
You sound ridiculous each time that you tell me "maybe a truck isn't a good fit". Listen...we all have opinions. I expressed mine. I've probably owned more trucks in two years than you've owned in your life. I can assure you that this isn't about a truck not being a good fit, or me having unrealistic expectations about what a truck is. I can assure you that I'm VERY aware of what a truck is. I've owned more versions of every truck manufactured than any human being should, and have been driving a truck for decades. If you actually read this thread, I didn't even bring up the antenna. Someone asked me my thoughts on it. I simply answered that person and told them that to my knowledge, Ford is the only company who even still puts a whip antenna on any half ton truck.

I think the reason the keypad is still there is that a LOT of people really like them. My wife and I both appreciate the convenience of having the keypads; hers on her Escape and mine on my truck. I suppose Ford could put an optics bio-scanner on the truck so we just program it to our eyeballs, but I think the keypad is a little simpler and we all know how it turns out if a nefarious thief wants to steal your truck and it has the eyeball scanner.

I think you are confused as to what a strawman.
I could have sworn you said:
I could have sworn you said:
Thief follows you to any of your locations. Thief parks anywhere with a clear view of the side of your truck. Thief snaps his cracked-screen iPhone 6 to a $39.99 telephoto lens (search Amazon) and sets it on his dash, pointed at your truck keypad. You appear, he presses record, and you punch in your five-digit code into a five-button panel, and you're off. Thief also now has keys to your car.

I'm sorry my opinion upsets you so much. You don't have to take it so seriously?
I expressed my opinion on the wind noise of the antenna has a factor. Take it or leave it.
I have '22 Powerboost and the tailgate opens with the keypad, Found out by accident when we were out to dinner and I had the keys locked in the truck. Entered my code into the keypad, and pushed 5/6 again absent mindedly and the tailgate opened.
And you sound ridiculous when you complain how much Ford screwed up the F150 because you can't stand the wind noise from the physical antenna lol
