that’s an awfully bold statement.

I get that in your opinion it is a bad idea to buy a high end truck without a heated steering wheel, and you’re right, it does also cost more money, but at the end of the day it IS all about opinions of what people like and want
He might just be saying the heated steering wheel was the straw that broke the camels back. I ordered a Platinum PB 2/28 and am still waiting (it shipped 3 weeks ago) but I lost active park assist which I didn’t care about, but the massaging seats kind of ticked me off. Heated steering wheel would have led me to not take delivery as I’ve had one for years on less expensive vehicles and live in New England. If they got rid of heated mirrors like they were talking about, it would be an absolute deal breaker. Those 2 things might not concern someone who lives in say CA or Florida. Different things matter to different people and vary regionally.

The problem is people keep buying even with the deleted features. So it gives ford no rush to add them back. I’m willing to bet 24s will come with even less features. Looking at ordering a 23 super duty the upper trims have multi coutour seats and heated steering wheels. Just sounds like ford is seeing how much they can get away with. If people are still buying why fix it

Dealer I spoke to yesterday said they have re added the heated steering wheels to '23 models. Can anyone confirm?

The Autonation Ford near me, has a lot full of F150's now. While I have not stopped in and looked, I can only imagine that they are 22's of all varieties.

This is the exact point I was trying to make; not sure why the posts got the ban hammer.

Any business selling anything will push abusing a customer as far as they can, and your average F150 buyers are not giving them a reason to stop.

I hear what you are saying, I am approaching 150K and while I think my truck has been taken well care of, I am one major repair away from it possibly being obsolete. Iguess if push came to shove for me, I would need to order new and figure out a way to either temp repair the old 13 or buy used knowing it would be traded in on the order. I have always thought I was going to drive my 13 to 200k, but that was pre COVID when parts were plentiful!

Anyone who is responsible with their money isn't going to buy a new vehicle in this market...and pay msrp for it?
I certainly won't.
Ford in my view is being greedy and people are buying up half baked trucks and are paying more than premium prices.

And Ford's response to the missing options are to give the buyer a $50 credit on the order! LMFAO!!!!!

When Ford was giving big discounts off of their fictitious msrp prices I was willing to accept the less than stellar build quality and poor performance of options.
But now that they are charging msrp and deleting certain options...no way! lol...

Ford's part shortage isn't an industry part shortage...it is just an OEM Ford parts shortage.
I have had no problems finding aftermarket parts for my older trucks, machinery etc.

19% increase in MSRP over 12 months while force removing options and they still manage to get people lining up. Ford is going to ride the chip shortage/inflation wagon for as long as they can get suckers.

It'll be a rather sad situation in 3 to 5 years when guys will be selling used '22s and '23s and the '21s are worth more. New vehicles are already a depreciating financial liability and you're absolutely going to lose on them, but there is no way the used market will reflect a 20% over msrp temporary to two model years.

Actually, if what you predict is true, imagine what they increase to on a truck with all of its chips!
