Is Powerboost worth it?

I really don’t know why anyone would buy a 3.5 Ecoboost when you can get a Powerboost for the same price. My 23 KR was $77035 retail. The exact same Ecoboost with a locking rearend which comes standard on the KR was $470 more.
Now let me think pay more and not get the hybrid, na don’t think so.

For whatever it's worth, today I logged a 402 mile round trip from SW PA to the eastern WV panhandle and back and got 23.9 mpg (with the AFE fuel bias corrected on my on board computer) on my 3.5LEB Crew Cab 157" WB 4x4 non-PowerBoost engine with a 3.31 axle. I've gotten similar results on other highway trips. My spreadsheet calculated lifetime mpg at just over 50k miles is 21.05 mpg. I think gas mileage is not the carrot for getting a PowerBoost.
it’s not a no brainer to get the power boost for everyone. If your someone who keeps there trucks 150-200k miles and beyond the power boost components will likely lead to expensive repairs. The mileage gains are not really that significant. I get 20-24 out of my non power boost 3.5. I like the power boost I’m not hating on it and if your someone who gets a new truck every few years it is probably a good choice. They build these trucks in so many configurations for a reason.
This is 100% why I didn’t get a power boost. I have had similar results with my 3.5. My lifetime average is 20.2 including some trailer towing mileage. I already have a generator and the mileage gains are not enough to warrant the extra complication and reduced payload. I didn’t feel a power boost was the right choice for me.
It’s not unusual at all to get 150-200k miles out of a F150 without major repairs.
The vehicle is currently being shipped to the dealership. I am trading my 2019 2.7 Ecoboost and want to basically switch over whatever aftermarket upgrades I can, I have a set of 20X10 Cali off-road Rawkon-19 mm with 35 x12.50 R20 Versatyre MXT's anyone know if this setup will fit a leveled 2024 F150 powerboost w/o trimming or cutting anything?
Hey, I am in Calgary so similar weather. 10/10 I love my Powerboost.
As long as you let it idle for a few minutes, in city driving you will get incredible mileage. I have a bunch of modifications to my stock truck but I get sub 10l/100km for in city driving if I am careful. Highway its just beautiful power.
I drive the Coq and head to Vancouver Island often and the drive is fantastic, plus the idle feature for when we have the dog in the car was worth the slight cost increase.
Winter knocks off about 30%.

As for mileage comparisons, far as I can tell we all live in different areas. That has a huge impact on mileage. One guy's 20mpg is someone else's 25mpg.
The only thing that has really been well established is that there is nearly no difference in highway mileage between PB and EB.
I would not step up to a Superduty just for a few hundred pounds of payload. But I would configure my F150 for such payload.
What if someone's need is only 200-300 lbs more? Drive around a Superduty just for that?
