Where did you see X-plan not available?

exactly, unless I have another vehicle for travel, or they put up a ton more fast charge stations, I am out now... Will get my $100 back and wait on the next batch...

I wonder if the dash will have the charger with the arrow pointing to the side with the port.

Ughh... I was one of many who put in their $100 deposit a while back. Don't even need a truck, have a 19 with 18k miles. But hey, what if the
lightning is amazing?? I'll trade in for top dollar and make the change, right?
I paid 62k for a Platinum that gets 700 miles of range.
They want 93k for a similarly equipped Platinum???

Nooooo way. Cmon Ford!
I'm not going to be one of those people who spends 100k on a Tesla then brags about much money they are saving by not buying gas.
me: But if you buy a 30k Toyota and spend 1k on gas, it would take 70 years....

^ I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to wait another year or 2. But reserved the lightning ( which probably wont get for another year anyway ) based on sourcing issues.
But after pricing a Lariat Lightning nearly $80K, to an F150-Tremor at $65K range. $15K extra whoa. The Lightning XLT extended range is nearly $75K WOW.
Rivian,Tesla, and GM will all be in the competition in a year or 2. Might keep my truck or get a new F150-Tremor for now, if the lightning turns out great could always trade it in later.
Cannot quite justify $15K+ for an EV though.

It looks like the big difference in price is between the extended range battery (300 mile range) and the regular battery (230 mile range) which is pretty interesting that it's that significant. The extended range battery also bumps you up 140 hp too to 563 hp.

But this is sort of the first time that the pricing has come out and I don't think anyone saw the huge increase in price for that extended range battery.

I still wonder if you are going to get a lot of company fleet orders with the PRO model or whatever it's called.

I think that's just what is needed, competition between the brands. Drives down the cost and improves the product (hopefully). This will be one of the first times where there will be direct competition with EVs with a mainstream vehicle type (i.e. TRUCK, not some niche car type vehicle).

I don't know about you guys, but I personally like the way the Lightning looks over the Silverado that's for sure. Silverado looks like an Avalanche. Lightning has a cool name and looks like a truck.

Don't forget to take $7500 off for the Federal rebates.
there's also a lot of states with State rebates.

Lets not kid ourselves, the price is never going to come down. I just wish they could double the range for the same price. Ugly Silverado just came out with 400 mile range

Some of you guys crack me up.

No, the electric XLT is never going to be cost competitive with the gas XLT. They’re apples and oranges. One of them you literally never have to stop for fuel, and you only have to stop for a “charge” when you’re on a haul of >200 miles. Otherwise you get your juice from where you’re parked anyway, most obviously at home. It’s completely silent, there’s no need for oil changes, there’s no exhaust, there’s no idling.

No, it probably won’t work for you if you tow a lot and drive 300 miles a day running your business. It’s not right for everybody.

Personally I couldn’t care any less how the higher trim fancy trims are priced because I don’t want that crap on a truck. I’ll happily take a pro model once my truck is no longer reliable.
