Maybe in few years when the price comes down...
EGO's 42" residential mowers are $5500, more than twice the cost of my Husqvarna. Can't justify paying for a second mower when the cost of maintenance of the one I've got is only $80/yr. At the end of the day it's probably close once you factor in the cost of fuel, but I'm not interested in dropping an additional $3000 now for a payoff in 15 years.

Especially not on a first generation ZT.

I think the first ones will be able to flip for a $20k profit.

That would be so sad and wrong if it ever came to pass! That and I'd love to have a bunch of stuff to sell the imbicile who would find buying a new truck off of a private party for that kind of markup a good idea.

As for selling your reservation, that would be an extremely risky proposition. The dealer would immediately know what's going on and either jack up the price or sell it to one of the types of people I just mentioned above from his list of impatient people with cash to burn. Also, it's not like you "own" anything if you reserve a truck, even with some money down. There are fresh stories all over the net about people with deposits and signed contracts on factory orders showing up to find out the dealer simply sold their truck for more to someone else.

The increase of stupid people has become evident over the last few years but I sincerely hope, pray there aren't any that stupid to pay and extra 20K for this or any vehicle.

Have to adapt to new thinking, there's a disconnect between Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price, and MARKET VALUE. And in many areas for desirable vehicles 5-50K markups are now MARKET VALUE. If MSRP is your line in the sand, better have some patience about getting a new vehicle like a truck or SUV.

People are overpaying for many vehicles, C8 corvettes are selling for 20k to 30k over MSRP and many are used.

I have a question, what is the expected life of the battery system of the 2022 Lightning F-150 and what is the estimated replacement cost to replace the battery system?
