Idle fees just need to be something like $5/hr. If you try to unplug and leave your car in the spot, put a number on the sign next to the EVSE with the local towing company. People need to learn now and not when EVs are more commonplace.
$5/hour is a pittance.

If half the bays are in use at a Tesla Supercharger one is charged $0.50/minute idle fee. $1.00/minute if all (but the one you are parked) are in use.

As for towing, the EVSE is locked to the vehicle for the duration. It can not be removed without unlocking the vehicle so as to prevent theft of mobile EVSEs which plug into common outlets. Also prevents vandalism. Some think it is funny to unplug a charging EV.

That's why I specifically said if someone unplugs and leaves their car there, which is something I have seen to avoid fees.

I'd be interested to know when they have you coming in to place an order. The order bank hasn't opened and there is no order guide on the dealer site yet.

Well, unless they open up the order bank on the Lightning when they open up the general 2022 model on Wednesday, you may be making that trip for nothing. I think your dealer is guessing.

Curious, have you already made a reservation and submitted your $100 deposit? If so, how long ago?

thanks
