If i was in your shoes, i would go ahead with the order and when it arrives at the dealer, evaluate the situation. They would love for you to not buy it

I got a email and text inviting me to order my F150. It did it completely online and it was submitted to and accepted by the dealer according to Ford's website.

Did you talk to the dealer you placed the order through (it was associated to a dealer). You will want to get them to commit to pricing now - many are making up. The dealer where my reservation is called me this morning. They told me they were marking up $1K. That isn't back compared to others, but I've got contacts at a different dealership now and I don't think they would mark it up at all - so I'm likely going to move my reservation. The email has a way for you to do that.

Looks like Ford is cracking down on the greedy dealers.

Kind of. They didn’t say anything against markup once the truck arrives, just against putting down money to convert the reservation to an order.

"the automaker supposedly had some strong words for its dealer network concerning markups."

Another article stated Ford said nothing about ADM at delivery. I hope Ford limits it, but I have my doubts. They are doing nothing about current markups and historically rarely have. There have been multiple examples of new Raptors having $50k in ADM. If Ford is really going to take action that seems like a good place to start. Or even with those who have been hit with ADM when going to take delivery of their new Bronco. There is an example or two of Ford getting mad at a dealer for that on a Bronco if the buyer made it public enough about getting blindsided, but again, if Ford was really serious about this issue then they would have told all dealers right now a limit on ADM for the Bronco.

Ultimately, if ordered any vehicle from any manufacturer/dealer I would get it in writing what ADM will be at delivery (I also wouldn’t pay ADM and would shop dealers until I could get in writing that there will be no ADM at time of delivery).

"The Silverado EV RST First Edition is set to go on sale in fall of 2023, priced from $105,000"

Yes, it is their top-of-the-line model but....

Ford doesn't show/offer a good comparison chart I can find. Confirm for me please what the Platinum has that I can't get in the Lariat. From what I can tell it is the lay flat massaging front seats, upgraded leather on the seats, 22" wheels, upgraded 18 speaker B&O system, auto running boards. What else am I missing?

On the Lariat w the 511A group it includes the Co-Pilot and BlueCruise, 80 Amp charge station, twin panel moon-roof, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, second row-heated seats.

What else am I missing if anything? I believe they both have the same phone app control, auto drive features, and the same dash/features.

Not sure I can justify the extra $10K although the upgraded B&O system would be nice.

Thanks,
