I hope it can live outside and mount to our garage or be on a pedestal. That will be my biggest frustration I think as far as that stuff goes. We have an EVSE in our garage now for my wife's Focus, so would be adding a circuit no matter what.
The 80 amp Ford Charge Station Pro can be installed outside. It needs a 100 amp circuit. I haven't seen a pedestal, but I suspect they will offer one.

You watch, tho, someone will do it, then b@tch about only getting 150 miles/charge out of it.
Ha, yeah I worry about what we will see when more people put heavy off-road tires and lifts on the PowerBoost. That electric motor is only like 60 HP/120 lb/ft of torque. So the line between it being in electric mode and not is fairly thin. The extra weight from tires and other changes from lifting or whatever may keep the truck from going to electric in any situation except coasting.

Good to hear. They are changing out our main panel to 200 Amp when they install our solar array. Trying to make sure we are ready for the future added hookups too.

These were on a PRO model. The 20" XLT had Hankooks but I didn't get a clear picture of them.

Was at a Private event this past week and got a ride on an obstacle course. Grabber HTS on 20's 275 tires on the Silver one. Michelin 275/65/18 on the Dark one
I am looking forward to a level kit for sure. Cannot wait until 2022 and hopefully the reservations will be in !

We all know this is perfect for the commute to the short commute and runs to the homedepot. This is not a serious truck.

1) range... so put 1000lbs in it, drive 30 miles to/from a job site which may or may not have power capable of charging. Pop on the A/C to cool down. Not convinced

2) let's tow. I have a F150 as my "tow the toys and haul when the car and suv stay nice" . So towing the travel trailer(and not just 25 miles), pulling the boat to/from lake, hey let's go take the bikes/quads/snow mobiles Ian a trip. How do I do this and drive 500 miles let alone 250?

3) off road and rock crawl just seems out of the picture. I have been reading how treating the hybrid with tires kills any "hybrid"
Advantage. I just don't see slapping in 80lbs per corner will not kill a EV f150 vs the 45lbs stocks. Let's go off road exploring..... oh wait, gotta pack my 9500 240v generator because if I go empty, I will need to charge. God forbid you get stuck....

The Lightening is a perfect city truck. 80 miles a day, Cary a few bags of mulch and some weekend project stuff.... Throw the bikes in the bed...... tow a float in the parade..... lights when camping at the local park.

Glad to see you need a f550 to do real truck stuff like picking up 1 2x4 or running the kids to school

Can you define other real truck stuff ?

1. The 300 mile targeted range currently given for the ER battery is with 1,000 lbs of payload

2. What toys do you need to haul? What trailer(s) do you have? So we can get an idea of charging station availability, what would be an example of your starting and ending point for your 500 mile toy haul?

3. Which 80 lb tires do you have on your truck and why?

The Lightning might perfectly do everything you need it to. If you're honest with us and yourself about what you do. Or it might not. Believe it or not, there exist vehicles that have a place in the market, that aren't a perfect fit for every single person out there. I know, incredible isn't it?

Lightning.

If you open your mind some, you'll see all sorts of possiblities.

IMO, the biggest obstacle to towing with the Lightning isn't range - people aren't going to buy an EV truck to tow a 7,000 pound camper - it's the lack of drive-through charging stations. No one will bother unhooking, charging, then reconnecting.

We may buy a Lightning in year one (10% chance), but likely would keep our 2013 V8 because it's cheap to hold onto and has the range for towing.

More likely, we'll wait until year 2 or 3, when there is longer range.
