Why do people buy trucks? It’s not to be fast. Shows that some don’t use your truck as a truck. They want a fast grocery getter that can power their house.

Fast equals power which equals towing. There's a reason why the other options are rated to tow more. That's part of what makes a truck a truck.

Speed/acceleration is relative. 0-60 in 5 seconds has little to contribute to useful transportation. Traffic usually takes 20-30 seconds to reach 60. If one is buying a truck to do things other than impress little boys at how long of a rubber stripe it can lay, then the Powerstroke is a worthy contender. I am extremely pleased with my 2.7EB.
Normally the diesel option IS the performance move. Just not with the 3.0 F150. I've owned 2 diesels and love diesels. That said, my last diesel was a 2003 F250 that ran 13.9 at PBIR and towed my enclosed trailer like a champ.

It seems that many are ignorant to the concept that it's nice to be able to tow and keep up with traffic. It's even nicer to have a truck with enough power to actually pass when needed while towing. To do that, you need a truck that isn't slow to start with.

Worth noting that your 2.7EB is significantly faster than the 3.0PS. I suspect that the 2.7's towing capacity is intentionally underrated. It's a beast of a motor.
