I'm happy, especially with the new STX trim. LED lights, 12 inch screen, digital cluster and 5.0 engine for 40 something k is pretty good. Thanks to Granger Ford who is accepting orders 4 percent below invoice. No direct competition trim comes close to the STX. I never thought this would happen and I couldn't be happier.

Say what? So you either get chrome bumpers with projector lighting or color matched with reflector LEDs, is that right?

Not that I can find. Also wondering about the fate of the "Rattler" off-road package that was supposedly introduced in 2023.

Apparently 2023 Rattlers do exist, but I've never seen one, and am not seeing any sign of them in 2024.

I can't believe you can't get a 157" WB with a sport or black appearance package in XLT! I hate chrome. What are they thinking, a majority of the trucks I see are Sports. I'm about a year from trading in my '16 Sport, not sure what I'll do. Not a fan of Chevy, but I'm not going chrome.

This is my feeling basically. I could probably adapt to not having the Sport and accepting the BAP. But that along with the price increases makes me think this won't work for me. I guess I should look at the STX instead, or maybe even an Silverado RST with the I6 Duramax.

edit - just priced out a STX SuperCrew 5.5' bed. Approx $52k. No power seat or seat heaters, as small as they seem, are real turn-offs for me.

I need the longer bed for work. The only way to not get chrome with the longer bed is to get a Platinum! That’s ridiculous. I could deal with the black appearance, though not a big fan of the black (Bro) wheels. I just don’t get it, a lot of sport trucks around here with the longer bed. I don’t know anyone under retirement age that prefers chrome.

I priced out a '24 Platinum compared to my '23 and I've bought my last Platinum. Ford has rolled so many of what were options as standard now so it really jacked up the price. So now it would cost about 10.7K more to buy the '24...and the 5.0 is no longer available. Looks like the Platinum is the new Limited. Enough is enough, I like to trade every year but I might be looking at RAM again or a Lariat. A 1/2 ton pickup isn't worth 83.5K, I don't care whose logo is on the grill.

They are small things. But Ford forces you to spend upwards of what, $8K to get these small things? How do you explain to your wife that your new $52K pickup doesn't have power seats like her $26K Kia? It's getting to be downright embarrassing.

That was the same conclusion I came to when trying to rebuild my 2023 - If I went up to the fully loaded spec to get power running boards I also get what used to be the Limited interior plus 22" wheels. Those were just the pain points in my case, others may have different options they wanted or didn't want that they would have to pay for or not get to save $$.

I'm in the same boat, I need 157" wheelbase for work. If I can't get the sport appearance or the BAP, I think I will look elsewhere if I can. Chrome is for my dad, not for me. 90% of the F150s on the road here are sport package. Ford really dropped the ball on this one.
