Agreed. One of the only things that bothers me in this truck. Seems odd to use a button on the controls only to have to select the option on the screen.

Just think, with a 2024 refresh, it now gives you the option of buying nearly three F150 generations at their original MSRP lol! You can get a 12th gen, a 13th gen or a 14th gen 🤣

It's changing but it still makes me laugh 😂

Ford unveiled the 4th generation 5.0 for the new S650 platform and claims it will make 500 horsepower upon release in 2024. Probably easier to use the new version of the engine across both platforms. Plausible. It would likely be easy to make the HO 3.5 standard power as well for the 3.5 option instead of 2 different power-plants. Likely just a guess.

It won't have Blue Cruise though... not due to shortage, Ford made that decision.

I read an article that said due to f250 being used for towing that’s why it won’t be offered because blue cruise doesn’t work while towing

I think it was stated that specifically the dark horse edition will have 500 HP and the GT will be at 480. While it is certainly possible the 5.0 in the F150 could get a bump, the increase in the mustang doesn’t necessarily mean an increase for the F150. The short blocks will surely be shared, but the long blocks will likely differ quite a bit.

anyway I hope to be proven wrong, I just don’t expect a bump in the existing engines for a refresh

The regular S650 Mustang GT is actually rated at 450HP...10HP lower than the S550 GT.
