2024 Refresh
They were mentioned through out the thread either here or the f150gen14 forum.
Is Ford offering heated steering wheel option in new F150s or are they still using "Chip shortage" to omit this option. It gets super cold and having a heated steering wheel in -40 is a huge advantage.

Rumors are a new trim called "Lobo" will be revealed in a couple of weeks. It's said to possibly be on a lowered suspension, 2wd, and have a very sinister look. The claim is Ford is looking a attract a new crowd.

I've seen them mentioned by people making up wish lists based on nothing but what they think would be cool lol
I mean sure I'd take an F150 with a NA V8, powerboost hybrid 3kWah+ battery 9.6kW 50amp propower, 36 gallon tank, 6k lb curb weight and 7,500 lb GVWR just sayin' hehe oh yes and a 145" WB

I think the "short attention span" generation has really caused these trucks to be ridiculously expensive for no reason.
Give me an XLT lite with carpet, power windows/locks and a few other basic options. Something more than an XL that doesn't look like a work truck. Maybe make an engine too that gets decent gas mileage, has enough torque to get the job done and nothing more. If it takes a 4.10 or 4.25 rear end to do it and tops out the speedo at 80 mph so be it.
These trucks aren't Mustangs
Heated steering wheels and sunroofs... gtfo...

I will be buying a new 2024 Ford Lobo Lariat in Mexico when it comes out, keeping my 2022 F-150 in the U.S.

Quite honestly, a low tech, yet plush truck without all the bells and whistles would probably sell great. Those of us who aren't Millennials remember when trucks didn't need to have 350 horsepower to sell. My first F150 made probably 150 horsepower, had a 4 speed manual tranny, back when a 3 speed auto was still the thing. They did their job, got you from place to place reliably but weren't going to get out of anybody's way fast.

Exactly! I'm a Boomer, but let me tell you the last thing I want is to see is my truck return to the days when the speedometer needle bounced around the 60mph indicator, or having pothole impacts jolt me through my arms and shoulders ending up in my cranium.

It's weird to say what you do...but then say a modern F150 XL looks like a "work truck" so you want something fancier looking lol
BTW one of the biggest reasons for cost is political, inflation, especially the past 3 years...
...and of course CAFE which is also political
