Default 2023 APIM problem

My 2023 F-150 lariat has had a lot of issues with the APIM, after the dealer finally replaced it. it is doing much better but I would like to know if anyone else has this problem. When on an active phone call but not in the truck when I get in the truck. and start the truck up for some reason the truck doesn't know what to do, it will try to connect and will say it's connected but it is not, neither party can hear each other. eventually you have to end the call and recall through the truck to make the call. Is it just my truck or is it a Ford problem.

Welcome to the club. Took delivery 9/10/21 APiM replaced a year later, still no updates. Everytime I go past a cell tower radio/stereo cuts out. Dealer not helping at all and Ford Customer service doesn't help as well.

Have I looked at your truck before? If the APIM was replaced two years ago and you still haven't gotten an update, then they didn't do something right.

Ah.....I check a lot of trucks and it's hard to keep up with all of them. If I sent you files, it means Jesse looked at your truck already and whatever the problem is, it goes beyond my scope of knowledge to fix it. I don't mind taking another look; just need your VIN.

1FTFW1E89MKE43836 I think FDRS shows a multitude of updates due. Dealer says that it's a Ford problem and they won't replace anything till they figure it out.

Ah, I remember now. Dealer replaced your APIM and released the truck without completing the PMI. PTS is showing your Sync is at 21223 now, which is good, but I see you still you haven't gotten any updates. When you go to your "about sync" menu on your touchscreen, do you still see Sync 20301 on your truck?

Never mind. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck has some serious configuration issues that no dealer will ever figure out. Your truck would require hours upon hours of module programming to get fixed using FDRS and FORscan to side load software outside the scope of what dealers are able to do. It is also way too complicated a process for him to log in to your PC remotely to do it himself due to the time needed to get everything corrected. In addition to this, you would also need a $600 Mongoose cable and both FDRS (costs money) and FORscan (free) software to get it done.

The easiest way to fix your truck is to take out the APIM and GWM and replace those modules with ones that are on the correct software state. I am not sure if you are mechanically inclined or not. If you are and you feel like you can swap out these two modules on your own, your truck is fixable.

Your dealer is not lying to you. This is not a mechanic or technician problem......your truck requires a software engineer and Ford engineers need to get involved with the dealer to get your truck fixed.

Yeah, what I can't figure out is why can't the DEALER figure that out? Guess I'll have to call corporate again.
