Not sure if this is the best place to post, but I finished up a project this weekend.
I wanted to change up the look of the interior without going nuts. I decided that I would paint the speaker grills black and then pulled out some of the panel pieces, painted them blue (to match the exterior paint) and then hydro-dipped them with a "motor/turbos" pattern.
Let me know what you think, I'm very happy with the outcome and will look at doing the stereo surround and console around the shifter next.
It looks awesome! Unless you like chrome, and that...grey/gold handle, you should consider painting the door handle as well.
It was a tough call. I was going to paint the handle surround flat black, but them left it. When you just look at the door, I agree it looks a little off the way I have it, but when you see the chrome tying into the air vents and the silver/grey tying into the dash, it works.
Who knows, I may try to swap out the dash panels for black ones and then match the door handles/surrounds.
I couldn't get the chrome handle off the silver/gold surround so it just all got plasti dipped in one go. I bet you could tape the chrome handle up good and just hit the surround.
Is your dash grey (like on my door panels) or the silver/gold like on the surround?

The dash is the silver/gold color of the door handle surrounds. The handles do come apart, but it's a bit of work.
- Release the spring from the handle
- Pull out the handle (like you were going to open the door)
- once it stops, release the plastic stop holding it, the stop is on the surround
- open the handle fully 90 degrees and carefully pop it out of the surround. I used a trim tool

I did it. it's pretty straight forward once you have the temp set and the amount of activator dialed in. Lots of good vids on YouTube on the process.
