Default What tf is this?

Noticed this today on the roof of my truck while washing it. Other side is completely straight, and it's definitely not the water making it look like that. I touched it and it's hard as a rock. Looks like the weather stripping for the cab got kinked or something. Kind of disappointing to see something like this on a new truck, guess I should have looked better...

It's a sealer that is put on through a gun. It's possible the worker or machine applying that side stumbled. It appears to be doing it's job though, which is to keep water out of the joint.

I'm more disappointed they don't put a plastic trim piece over it to hide it.

Thanks, think there's any chance of being able to get the dealer to install plastic trim over the top? It looks absolutely terrible.

I recommend 6" lift so no one can see onto your roof.

You can buy carbon fiber trim to fit in those troughs which many cars have. Then just paint them to match or leave them black.

It does look horrible, my truck is potentially getting a paint protection film (currently deciding whether I want a Raptor..) and I was going to ask them what could potentially be done to rectify it. If I do decided on that, I could post what the cost/solution is if people are interested?

I would be very interested. I didn't realize Ford had Helen Keller working quality control..

Most all the F150's have it including mine. It's all good. Can't see it unless your on top of the truck. Don't bother me at all.

There is an old thread about this floating around somewhere. Yours doesnt look half bad compared to some of the other pics i've seen of the roof seam.
