Two points.

First, how many people don't check the top of the truck before buying it.

Second, besides squirrels in trees, birds, a low flying plane, and you staring out of a 2nd floor window, who is going to see it?

I agree it looks like ****. Mine has a small amount of this at the very rear of the cab, only on the passenger side. I found it the first time I washed the truck. I hit the forum and saw it was a common issue so I went on down the road.....

I would guess squirrels in trees, birds, low flying planes, and people in second story windows.

How many people do?

Some might...but it's not necessarily a normal check. Maybe for those of us that have seen the QA problems, but for others...I don't think so.

So people who normally look over their vehicles before they pay for them, checking for dents and scrapes, don't look at the top?

I check all vehicles the same. Top, sides, front, back, bottom (yes, a quick glimpse underneath).

I think most people assume that a brand new vehicle won't have these imperfections. We know better...but I don't think most people do. I'm just saying, I'm not sure looking at the roof is high on the list of checks when most people are buying a brand new vehicle.

I mean, I fully admit I worry about it because I care WAY too much about this crap. I picked it up from my uncle, who has all his new cars go straight for paint check/fixes and then paint protection film.
