If you provide the USB and $1200 CASH up front, I'm sure someone will be willing to brick their SYNC 3 system. The $1200 is for the factory replacement and installation of the bricked system.

Sync 2 and Sync 3 are NOT COMPATABLE!!!. Even the Navigation program is different programming and coding.

Ok so this is the response I got....
Somebody is lying!!
Android Auto does not work for me, won't stay connected (Galaxy S7 not listed as compatible). Besides, should not have to have a workaround!!!
Anyway.... I also called this place last month and was told maps released to Ford on Mar 12th too.....yet dealer has no clue.

"Hello William,
Thank you for inquiring about HERE Technologies. Although Ford uses our map data, we do not provide Sync3 support on their behalf. To obtain a map update, please contact your nearest authorized Ford dealership. Information regarding the Sync3 map updates was sent to all Ford dealerships on March 12th. If the dealership has questions or comments they can contact us at 866.462.8837. Since this is a "dealer only" product, we cannot help with the specific update."

Are you using a Samsung USB cord?

Yup. Tried 3 different quality cords, then a new Samsung cord.... no help. Ford site does not list the S7 as being compatible with Sync3...but sounds like others have had success with it.

My truck delivered with the A6 SD card. I updated to the A9 card for S38.88 on fleabay; I will pay that to keep the maps as up to date as possible. I also have a Garmin that I keep updated, and sometimes use Google Maps on my phone. The Garmin has led me astray fewer times than the others.

Given the choice, I would never order factory navigation because of the outdated maps. Unfortunately, the other unnecessary creature comforts I want typically come with navigation.
