Torn Frame
Every person who has looked at it, including the general manager, service manager and several service people, all have said this should have not happened. I don't feel I should have to pay $14,000 to fix their failure.
if it was ford certifed I guess you are outside of any warranty you had? I think I'd raise a huge stink with your dealership and ford. I dont know if it will get you anywhere because you are one customer but its worth a try. Other route is insurance and file a claim. I did it when I lost the engine in my 2011 f250. insurance paid 12,500 of the 13,500 repair bill for the new 6.7 engine.

I feel bad thinking the OP was just trolling. I've never seen or even heard of something like that. You wouldn't be able to get some better photos could you, this is interesting.
I'd start by looking into the possibility of this being a defect in materials. That definitely started off as a crack, and there is no way that should occur without there being a significant impact or defect. If you have no luck with Ford, pursue your insurer. You may need to involve a lawyer.
A whole frame runs $5500-6500, but the front stub is only $1500. A dealership is going to hit you on labor a lot harder than other shops.
Not sure how a 4" lift would solve the issue, you bolt the new frame members into the original control arm mounts.
