Torn Frame
Very interested in what was done with your repair?
Did Ford stand behind any of this ?
Is the head of the bolt missing on yours also? Keep your receipts and report it to NTHSA.GOV. If there's a recall you'll get reimbursed.
I think that section is pulled out that far, the upper corner of the pulled out piece lines up with the end of the unpainted break in the main part. Which raises a question as it looks like that is an unradiused corner which would be a huge stress riser. I would be inclined to compare that part to other trucks and see if there is not supposed to be either a radius or a rolled edge there because the way that piece is built it isn't a surprise at all to me that it is cracked the way it is. May also want to see if all of the proper hardware is in place on that joint, and be sure the bump stop is in place and in good order.
WTF? No hard driving and no accidents. 2016 F150 XLT Sport Super Crew 120K miles
The damage is kinda crazy and unusual, and people have questions, we see this kind of post where the OP doesn't come back after a few posts and people start to question whether it was a real thing or someone making something up (yes even these pics could have had the damage caused deliberately)
2016 120K miles. Mainly a grocery getter. Tow a 7K lb trailer 600 miles a summer. Never driven hard or off road.

Does anyone following this thread think it's "telling" that there has never been a post from the official Ford bot that occasionally responds with the "Send me your VIN and I'll look into it" reply?
Brings to mind the old saying "Never a ask a question that you don't want to hear the answer to."

the replacement bolt has a different design. It’s almost like Ford knows there’s an issue with the factory bolt. This bolt is ford OEM.
I'd suggest to everyone who has had this happen to file a complaint with NHTSA. It would not surprise me if this became a recall at some point. Seems like all of the trucks involved had a light amount of rust on the affected area, which tells me it doesn't take much rust for the area to become structurally compromised. As thin as the steel is on these frames, I suspect they don't need much metal loss for the metal to be thin enough to be susceptible to fatigue, causing these cracks. Fix would probably involve the dealer installing a reinforcement bracket around the area.
Just my 2 cents.
