That's pretty crazy to see a failure like that. Potentially the bushing was binding up and just fatiguing that piece over time.

I like the idea of these. Also, they should work on the F150s as the raptor frame is not modified from my understanding.

My suggestion is everyone who reads this with the same vintage truck get under there and inspect that particular area for a crack or evidence of stress points starting.

Geez lucky the final breaks in these cases were at dead slow speeds. All of those failures that are shown here appear the same with a rusted section then the final break/tear away bits. Surprising that section is not boxed from the factory, clearly a weak point judging by the pics.

I agree it is repairable if done properly.

Sound advice but I think as a precaution everyone should just go with Factory Five build lol. Damn that is amazing.
