What phone do you have? Also do you know what version of Android you're running?
I'm leaning towards a setting in the app itself...
I have a galaxy 7 edge and note 9. Bought the 7 edge just for android auto. They are both running 8.1.0.

Need to get your phone in developer mode and then update/.reinstall android auto. soon as you plug it back in to your truck and tap on the android app, you will get the screens for permissions. good to go after that

go to the settings app
tap on "about device"
tap on "software info"
tap on the " build number" 7 or 8 times. it will start telling you how many taps are left

My phone is a galaxy s7 also.

Did you try swiping to the left on the first screen, the one with Sound, Phone, General, etc? That's where it should be. You can see just the edge of the next set of icons if you look at it.

Yeah. Look at those two little rectangles near the bottom of the screen. The blue rectangle indicates what screen I am on and the other indicates my available screens. Went through both.

OOPS! I do see that now. In fairness I've now had a third cup of coffee since I first posted that.

Haha thanks man. I admit I had to go outside a few times to confirm I am so desperate.
