Not to thread jack, but what is the newest Sync 3 build for our trucks? I'm currently on build 17194. Is 18093 the latest and greatest? Thanks.

ETA: It's 18093. Thanks.

Sorry guys, I meant the Android Auto Settings icon, not the one in the bottom bar of the main screen.

Strange how everyone's set-up seems to be different.
When I bought my truck in February, I didn't have either icons in the menu till I set them up. After that they stayed there continuously.

I did the latest update and lost both icons. Once I plugged in my Android the icon came back and I had my nephew plug his iPhone in got Carplay back as well.

Now my icons stay in the menu even when nothing is plugged in. The pictures are two days ago with nothing hooked up.

Taking it to the dealership for an apim swap next Sunday. They should have it ready for pickup late Monday. I'll keep this thread updated. Really hoping this works.

I quickly browsed the posts here and saw this suggested but not sure if you have you tried a different cable? No, seriously...

I have buddies with an '18 Raptor and a '17 Focus RS both of whom had this exact same issue. Replacing the cable with a high-quality replacement resolved the issue for both of them.

This worked for me. AA would work less than 50% of the time. I bought a new cable and now it works ALMOST all the time lol.

I would even see if you could borrow a friends phone, see if it will show up after you pair it.

Tried 3 different cables. 2 anker and one from the Samsung boxes. Well that would be 4 since I have both the note 9 and 7 edge. Tried my wife's iPhone 8 and no go. Went to my cell phone provider and asked them if they had any older android or iPhone cellphones. Let me try a s5 and s6 along with an iPhone 5 through 9. Two different cords that time as well. Wow.

Another questions. Is there a way I can take this POS sync 3 system out and upgrade it to something else all while controlling my seats and stuff?

Alright, then I'm going with 'f#$king broken'. Sounds like you've exhausted all options.
