Just got my truck and saw the notification in FordPass that I could update my maps. Must have pulled the USB early as well. Would appreciated if I could get a copy of Acool's fix as well!

That's what I am getting. I checked the info in settings and it says I am running version 1 19, but I keep getting the pop up of to keep USB in.

I thought the upgrade install went fine. Installed it while on a 3 hr trip. Now I keep getting the message to put the USB back in. When I do, then get the Bgmap error. Any clues?

Are the new maps in Nav better than what Google Maps has? I was able to hook my phone up to the system and have my Google maps displayed on the screen in the truck.

No. Google maps are better than any installed map set because they are updated in real time. Google Maps is showing you 2020 data, while you're updating your F150 to display 2018 data (released in Jan. 2019). There may not be much if any difference for your local purposes, but one is more up to date than the other.

Hello...I attempted to update my NAV maps recently, but my truck turned off before the installation completed. It appears that the maps updated to version 1 19, but as mentioned in other posts, I do not have a Gracenote version listed and I get the "Installation In Progress" message randomly when I start the truck. I have tried to reinstall the map update and I get the BGMAP_ERR01 error. I have read numerous posts about Acool's fix, but can't find anywhere to PM him. Any help would be appreciated.
