Default Stop Start feature ?

Just trading my 2015 for a 2020. Wondering what is the best way to disable the stop , start feature on the new truck? Can't find any info for 2020 on here or internet.
I played around with forscan when I first got the 2015 but it's been awhile. Could probably muddle through it if it's on there. I saw a video of a product you put in the dash that connects to the button. I put hill descent in my 15 so that wouldn't be that bad if it's available for the 2020.
Also saw a piece you plug into the port and it does the update then you remove it. Again not sure if it's available for the 2020.
Wondering if asking the dealer to do it on the QT would be an option?

The 'best' way is to hit the button on the dash. LOL

I'll take a guess that the same electronic device on on pre-20's still work to disable the 20. The ones that people install to kill the system.

No, you cannot ask the dealer to do it. They have no capability to disable it.

I’ll tell you what I did on my 2019 Single Cab

Under the dash at the top and to the left of the brake pedal - there is a white box with three wire clips plugged into it.

If you simply unplug the small bottom connector (this is for trailer brake lights) and the auto start stop turns off. Just remember to plug it back in for towing or dealer visits.

Additionally you can disconnect the battery maintenance system in the negative battery terminal. I like the battery maintenance system so I opted for the trailer brake lights.

I’ve had mine unplugged for a year with no problems.

IMO this is the best solution: www.autostopeliminator.com

It is the only option with zero negative side effects.

We all have discretionary income with different ideas how to spend it. I'll find a nice trinket for my snowmobile for the $89.00 I'll save by pushing the auto S/S button to disable it.

You can also put the transmission in Sport mode when you are in stop and go driving. It cancels the start\stop.

I like the way the truck reacts in sport in traffic anyways, so its kind of a win win.
