well sort of.... what you disabled was the battery management system. Because that is no longer functioning the truck disabled the auto stop/start.

Under the dash at the top and to the left of the brake pedal - there is a white box with three wire clips plugged into it.

If you simply unplug the small bottom connector (this is for trailer brake lights) and the auto start stop turns off. Just remember to plug it back in for towing or dealer visits.

Additionally you can disconnect the battery maintenance system in the negative battery terminal. I like the battery maintenance system so I opted for the trailer brake lights.

I’ve had mine unplugged for a year with no problems.
I found another thread on here that suggested that and I tried it. Works for me!

I like the way the truck reacts in sport in traffic anyways, so its kind of a win win.
I only use sport mode and this works great for me. I forgot it even has start/stop

Correct.

As mentioned earlier in the thread Autostopeliminator is the only option I have seen that does not have negative side effects, including this.

It seems like disabling auto stop/start is one of the most popular mods on the FORScan thread. So what are the disadvantages of disabling the battery management system?

I'm not sure if I could handle pushing the Drive Mode button twice to put it in Sport Mode when reaching over to push the Auto Start Stop button once is too much for most of us.

Pretty sure it takes five presses of the drive mode button now.
Get the Eliminator and never look back. Even when towing.
