I like the way the truck reacts in sport in traffic anyways, so its kind of a win win.

I go the other way sometimes. Put it in sport and hit the button to re-enable S/S. I know, I'm strange.

Easiest way to perma disable is with forscan. Can also turn off the goddam double honk for the sin of closing a door while the truck is running.
