Stop Start feature ?
turn the heater on in the winter, and the AC on in the summer, and the start/stop wont activate.
The start/stop wont activate unless you put your foot down firmly on the brake.
If you just hold the truck stopped with a light amount of pressure on the brake the truck doesn't turn off.

I'm not sure if I could handle pushing the Drive Mode button twice to put it in Sport Mode when reaching over to push the Auto Start Stop button once is too much for most of us.
Pretty sure it takes five presses of the drive mode button now.
Get the Eliminator and never look back. Even when towing.

I know it's a shocker but some people don't want to have to push another button every time they start their truck. It may not be a big deal to some, but I just don't want to have to do it. When I start my truck I like that the sound system starts in the same settings that it was at when I last drove the truck, same with the heater/AC, seat adjustment, etc. etc. That's how I want my auto stop to operate as well.
You can disable auto stop without buying the Autostop Eliminator but these solutions either disable the battery management system or make activating the auto start impossible as with the jumper wire in the plug method. So if you go that way keep that in mind.
The Autostop Eliminator is money well spent in my opinion. It only affects the auto stop and no other system. And it "remembers" the last setting. So if auto start was off when you shut the truck off, it's off when you start it again. and vice versa. And you can turn it on or off whenever you want.

I’ll tell you what I did on my 2019 Single Cab
Under the dash at the top and to the left of the brake pedal - there is a white box with three wire clips plugged into it.
If you simply unplug the small bottom connector (this is for trailer brake lights) and the auto start stop turns off. Just remember to plug it back in for towing or dealer visits.
Additionally you can disconnect the battery maintenance system in the negative battery terminal. I like the battery maintenance system so I opted for the trailer brake lights.
I’ve had mine unplugged for a year with no problems.

Did not work without problems on my 19. Worked good on the first trip of 100 miles. Second trip after a few more cycles it through no less than 5 codes tripping the mil and the restraint systems lights. Editing to expand...... the codes it through were all related to the emergency brake including pre-collision braking hill assist etc. P0001 P0542 P1445 P1831 and P3146

I installed the auto stop eliminator yesterday. I got the one that plugs into the obd port. So far it works exactly as advertised. I think I am going to like it. The nice thing about it is that if you ever want to use the autostop feature, it’s easy to do. It’s the best of both worlds.
