Default Stop/start disable

Wondering how many owners have disabled the stop/start function on their truck. I can't see how the minute amount of fuel saved would make up for the increased engine, starter and battery wear or the loss of A/C on a hot summer day. I opted for a plug in module to default the system to off.

Default Auto start/stop diabled thru Forscan

I diabled auto start stop on my 2018 2.7 4 door short bed.
i did 3 things. Disabled
button on dash
notification on gauge cluster
disabled the autostart stop itself

My mpgs have dropped from 18, down to 15.9...... i believe that diabling this feature also messes with other features that work with it. For one, the battery management system (b.m.s.).

Is it worth it?.... I found the sytem very annoying and dont miss it at all

Ordered the Autostop Eliminator before I even picked up the truck from the dealer. Installed, never looked back, and no negative side effects to other things.

Unplugged the BMS connector on the battery soon after bringing the truck home. Also did the same on (4) trucks at work and a couple of co-workers trucks.

Does that disable the auto stop/start? Where is the BMS connector? I know you can pull the trailer connector under dash which disables it but I tow, so won't work for me.

It comes off of the negative terminal of the battery:

Thank you. So disconnecting it will disable auto stop/start? Does it have any side effects such as CEL code, etc.? Will the battery die sooner without BMS?
