How in the heck did you get them to buy it back? I was pretty much told there was nothing they were going to do.

I've got 900 miles on mine, and heard it clunk for the first time on Sunday. I was parked facing slightly downhill, and had let it rest on the parking brake in neutral before putting it in park (habit of mine). The truck had probably been sitting for 2 hours when I came out to remote start it, and that's when I heard the clunk. It wasn't overly loud, but I did notice it. Not too concerned at this point, but I'll watch for it to get louder or more frequent.

I may go the same route, ofcourse rather not but...

Im curious if its possible to get back the taxes and dmv fees w the buyback. In my case taxes alone almost 8k.
Having to eat the taxes is really not cool....

I took my truck in for the clunk about a month ago and I got a loaner with the 5.0, 10 speed, and 4WD. It also made the clunk, but it seemed like it didn't happen as often. My truck also was making a clunk noise during up shifts, but it is also intermittent. The loaner did this as well! They had my truck for a week. They said they pulled another truck off the lot with the same configuration, and it also produced the same symptoms, so they said it was normal operating characteristics! If it is normal how come all trucks are not doing it? I don't understand how a noise that loud is normal! It drives fine otherwise, but noises like that cannot be considered normal operation. They still can't explain what it is. I am really disappointed in Ford! The 2019 Rams are looking better and better!

Preach! It's not normal, but admitting a problem exists costs Ford money. Money they can't afford to let go of right now since they're in the midst of a major reorganization. That's my conspiracy theory anyway.

Keep me posted on what your outcome is. I know you went the BBB way and hit a wall.
