Default Replying to a text message

I watched a video the other day with someone in the F150 replying to a text message. When a text comes in, I get 2 options view and hear. On the video, they had a reply option as well. It brought up several canned responses. Does anyone else have this?

You can reply, but only when stationary. It has a few "canned" texts you can send out.

I believe you can reply, but voice must be enabled on your phone. I don't use it.

Just tested again while parked and do not have the option to reply.

What kind of phone? My son uses a Samsung and can and my wife can with her iPhone. I have yet to figure out how to with my BB Q10.

I choose reply and hold the button on my steering wheel down a second longer than usual and SIRI comes up and I use that to reply instead of the canned responses from SYNC. This works while moving. I will tell you I just stumbled across this one day while driving. Held the voice button down longer and up popped SIRI. I would surmise this would only work with iOS and Android.

Do you mean you don't have the option to reply with one of the ''canned''
replys or your own reply. I know on mine there are several choices of replies
you can send, and apparently only when in park.

I have seen no way to send my own reply, unless I pick my phone up and do
it on there. Maybe it's possible, but I know it isn't on my Samsung.

Two replies while I was typing mine, I'll have to try holding the button down a little
longer and see if that works.
