Replying to a text message
Shaay is there a list of phones and features? My wife's 13 Fusion with MFT can do this with a Samsung S4 but I don't think I can do it in my 15 F150 with MFT and a Samsung S5. Or at least I've never been able to figure out how to do it.
BStrummin - I know I have seen a list if you log into the Ford owner / sync website. You pick the phone out of the list and it will list the available functions depending on which Sync version you have.
For Windows Phone users, there are two methods depending on your model, but possibly depending on if you have Windows Phone 8 or 10. I have Windows 10 on my phone...
You can hold down the steering wheel button and the tone comes up from Cortana signalling that she is listening. If that doesn't work, you can simply press the voice command button on the steering wheel, and say "Call Cortana". The truck will then switch control over to the phone and the Cortana listening prompt will ring. Then you can say "Text (name)" and say the message.
Other than that, ensure the Bluetooth settings are set to read text messages when connected to a BT device. This way, when you get a text, Cortana automatically interrupts the radio, tells you that you have a text message from (insert name) and asks if you want to reply or ignore it. Here, you can say "Reply" and just say what you want to say and it'll be sent as a text message. The voice recognition is fantastic and has rarely ever made a mistake typing out what I'm saying, even on the highway.

If you have a Iphone holding down the button will connect you to Siri and you can voice text whatever you want while driving like post #16 states. I use this function with my 6plus Iphone .
