You know, I cant exactly remember where I hit reply. I'll have to get my wife to text me and go through the steps again.

 

I hope Voice Texting while driving is available in the 2017 F-150 I have on order. I'm able to do it in my 2015 Mustang, it doesn't have SYNC-3?

The way I text while driving is hold down the steering wheel button and activate SIRI then tell SIRI to send text to whoever. The sync3 will only send a canned message I believe. May be another way but I know that works.

 

That's what I do in my 15 LE...Thought it had to do with the system in my car...Guess it's SIRI doing the work...Learn something every day at this site-->

 

Texstechfan is correct, HuskerHarley. iPhones allow you to use Siri Eyes Free to send a text. This feature is also available on sync3.

Ya, congrats! Hope you like the truck as much as I do mine. Most well built sweet running Ford vehicle I have ever owned.

 

The last time I purchased a new ford truck was 1993, F-150 Lightning, It was OK. My last two Mustangs (12 BOSS & 15 LE) haven't given me any major headaches. Hopefully, the 17 F-150 will make me smile-->
