Default Removed Leaf spring block!!!

2018 Super Crew Cab 4 wheel drive. I removed the rear blocks from the leaf spring. Before it measured 40.25" to the wheel lip molding. After it measured 38.50". A difference of 1.75" even though the blocks only measured 1.25".

Interesting. I don't really understand the differences in height I see in F150's. My 2018 Lariat Sport measures around 39" in the rear where others with the same package will measure 40.25" I don't understand why it's different. I want to raise mine up about an inch but based on your truck I should be exactly the height I want to be with the stock 1.25" block.

Mine is sitting right about 39.25" right now. However, filled up my 36 gallon tank just walking distance from where she is sitting now. Mine is a 157" wheelbase, so the frame is probably a little heavier.
Also, I measured on the drivers side, which has the very full fuel tank.

I didn't consider the extra weight of the fuel tank. I also have the 36 gallon tank and it's almost always near full, never lower than half a tank. I'm going to level it soon and will probably put in a rear block as well to add just a little height. I'd prefer it to sit at around 40.5" in the rear and close to that in the front. I don't think I can get it truly level, especially after I put in a larger rear block, since I don't want to go any bigger that a 2.5" spacer in the front.

That's weird. I've changed rear blocks in three different F150's and they changed the exact amount of the block. I've never read that on here either. I can understand if it were the front, but the back is straight forward, a block under the leaf.

Are you making the measurement at the rear wheel centerline?

Also, can you post an image of your truck before and after?

I am interested in doing this to be able to access the bed from the side - not sure why they artificially jack up the trucks.

Measurement from rear wheel centerline. I only have after pics. I only drove it less then a mile after the install. I'll put some miles on it and remeasure. I removed them by removing the u bolts and putting a jack under the leaf spring. Makes no sense to me either why it dropped 1.75".

On another subject. Did anyone ever have or heard of anyone having any issues with reusing the u bolts? Are there better u bolts to buy over the factory ones and do they make them shorter so I don't have all the extra threads showing?

Factory 2wd u bolts are shorter the 2wd trucks don't have the lift block.
