Wow. I had never heard of this truck before now. crazy. Wish the narrator was a little less annoying, because it’s pretty interesting.

No doubt. He is a popular YouTube car reviewer. Knows his sh#t. Little less coffee would be nice though.

Yeah it was almost 20 years ago now when an exec said "I think we can charge over $50k for a tarted up pickup that no one will use as a pickup." An underling replied "Sir, I don't know if that will fly." The exec kicked back, propped his feet on his desk, fired up a cigar, and said "Son, I don't think we've seen anything yet."

I remember when this came out and I laughed at the time. You just knew this was going to fail.
Got to give Ford credit though for trying some interesting and probably a little risky (at the time) things like the Lightning, Harley Davidson, Raptor, etc. Most of what they have done has gone well this was just a hot mess.

I know somebody who owned one. It would fit in better today, where the majority of pickups are used as a sedan with a big, open trunk or enclosed trunk with a tonneau or topper. The interior of the bed of the Blackwood was completely carpeted.
