Default Push button start or Key

Another thread got diverted on the subject of push button vs keys. It was a mix conversation of personal preference and security.

I personally won't buy a new car without pbs and like the 'police mode' that can be programed with forscan to lock the shifter if I exit the car while its still running.

This took us into the debate about fob cloning. Does anyone have stats on fob cloning? Ive seen the articles that it can be done but not how many times its been used in a real world theft. As for keys I've seen many times when people jump out for a second and their car was stolen or they get car jacked.

Whats your preference

Part of the reason I went to the F-150 Platinum over the GMC 1500 Denali was pushbutton start.

My wife's Range rover, 2012 is keyless. My 14 Stingray is Keyless. My 15 and my 17 Harley's have been Keyless.

So I can't imagine having to fumble for a key, especially not on a 50k plus truck.

I'm 54.

I'll take a key. Not a fan of a fob/push button start. Perfectly happy with my XLT 302a. Has more than what I need. Although, XLT 302a should have 4a imo.

Apparently responses from 51 to 59 year olds are not desired.

They definitely are. I posted a apology and sent a pm to a mod to see if they can add it. Post a reply with you pref and 51-59. Hopefully they can add it.

First vehicle that I've had with push button start. Absolutely love it. Always hated a key. Being able to lock & unlock with out a key is great also.
