No issues here with AA either. Works fine for me, but then I don't use it much. Mostly for Google Maps or Waze when I'm going someplace unfamiliar.
I really don't need directions that often...

Are you having the same problem when you run Google Maps?
Well I'm using the wifi hot spot that is in my truck. It's through AT&T. My cell phone provider is Verizon. I pay for unlimited wifi hotspot in my truck, and would prefer to use it. If I'm streaming music off of Radio.com or Amazon music and receive a phone call or text then AA crashes and gives a "Android auto has stopped working".

Voted yes but with caveats. Inability to scroll/browse on Spotify is limiting .

On my Pixel phone it takes a couple of minutes before it's woke enough to take voice commands.

It sometimes doesn't take voice commands no matter how woke it gets and I rave at it like Abe Simpson . It wakes up and listens but them does nothing. This happens I frequently when you're used the the convenience, not having it work sucks.

Send an SMS using voice is flawless . More apps need to support, like email, slack, etc..

Needs more apps in general.

You ever think it could be stuff in your charge port on the phone or maybe an app or setting causing the issue. Tried uninstalling AA and reinstalling it? Maybe even a factory reset of your phone is needed.
I have used AA since I got my truck in Feb 2017 with no issues.

It doesn't work all that well for me... more PITA then it is worth.

Also, doesn't work on mine via Bluetooth, plus, my bluetooth is not reliable - it randomly disconnects.

Cable doesn't charge, if working as data, and if charging, doesn't pass data. Go figure.

I sync my phone.. and that's it.

Android Auto does NOT like cheap USB cords. I had a few problems when using old cords I had around the house that still worked for charging. Picked up some better ones off Amazon a few months back and not one connection issue since.

I do suspect this since I've gone through 4 cords in 8 months, they work about 2 months max for me. They only charge, no data passes through.
