*POLL* Android Auto
I wanted this to work. I got this to work. I now am about to delete Android Auto. I thought this would be better. The only thing I care about really is having Google maps display on my sync screen instead of the worthless factory nav. But AA takes over and forces me to use all their garbage. I am not sure how to even listen to the radio which is what I do most. I am wondering if it is less than people expected as well?

I find its easy to use, maps are great, lets me voice to text very easily, radio still works as normal so not sure what your issue is there? Maybe yours has a bug? I like how my phones playlist are displayed and its very intuitive to search a song. If you use the steering controls you can toggle through the radio sources without loosing the maps

It takes awhile to learn the in and outs of it. I really didn't like it when I first purchased a head unit for my work car to have it but it grows on you.

My wife wants to see the station and the song playing on the radio. AA doesn't show it. She also wants to be able to turn on the heated steering wheel without leaving AA, going back to Sync, turning it on, and going back to AA.

Android Auto is more trouble than it's worth to me. I use it on long trips, but for every day use it's too cumbersome.

I'm with MarKY, I use it on long trips or places I'm not familiar with but daily driving with Pandora or whatever it's not worth the hassle with my phone auto connecting. If it would work by bluetooth then that would be awesome.

My phone is always docked and I use it every day for Audible, Amazon Music and Maps. No need for XM anymore just stream it! It would be nice if it could alert you about emails though. Just read back the sender and subject so I can decide if it's worth pulling over for. It does a fine job reading text and getting my voice reply 80% of the time. My only other grip is calendar based, I'd like it to show the next event after I swipe the current one away.

You should be be able to listen to the radio and and switch back to the Ford Sync screen (unless they changed it with the newer sync software). I believe the bottom menu button on the right side will take you back to sync.
