So I know this isn’t a big deal but it annoys the heck out of me.
I have a 2019 lariat 502A. It has been problem free. I’m at 105,000km(about 65000 miles)
I always keep my stereo screen on night mode and I have had my wifi connected since day 1 for updates.
out of no where, when I start the truck sometimes, it flips the screen back to auto(where the background is white instead of blue in night mode) and it puts up the disclaimer about connecting to wifi for auto updates. Also, anytime I connect my apple phone by wire to the truck, I need to re accept the options to use apple car play. Like I said, it’s worked perfect up until about a week ago. Any ideas what the issue could be or how to fix? Anyone else have this issue?

I'm not sure what could cause it but I would probably try a master reset and see if that corrects it.

Is your auto start / stop with engine working as it should? Tell sign of battery needing charged all the time. A bad or going bad battery can cause some goofy electronic problems.

I think this is the same issue as discussed in this thread... Sync 3 Memory Issue - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans I would guess an OTA (over the air) update on SYNC.

yes the start stop works fine. I would agree with the battery theory but this just happens at random. It’s not consistent. Could happen every second day or go 4 days they it happens

My truck has always reset odd things every once in a while. For me, it usually happens after I've not run the truck for about a week. Doesn't happen all the time. I figure it is just SOC getting a little low after sitting so long and a lower voltage during engine crank. The last time it happened, it lost my memory seat position. Often it will change the radio to the AM band, which I rarely use. Happens more in winter when its really cold.

If you have the factory battery yet, it might be time to get it load tested. The trucks with Auto-Start-Stop seem to be especially hard on batteries.

If you go to the dealer they won't find anything. But they will sell you a new battery for $300. go to auto zone and buy a battery. my 2019 XLT has less than 20,000 miles. consider yourself blessed. I asked the service writer (after I had paid) how the new batteries were. he said (S$%T)

Just an update. its not a battery issue. its a sync 3 update issue.
apparently alot of people with 2019 and 2020 that did the most recent update, the update didnt take.
here is a full thread on it.
