Payload ratings are on Ford's website:

Click "Explore Vehicle" on the F150 home page, then click the "Specs" Tab then "Payload Package Selector" It shows a payload chart for every configuration

Ha. My silly detective work was totally unnecessary. Shows right on the spec sheet the difference in GVWR from 6.5 to 5.5 box.

HMM my GVWR is 8200lb on the sticker. Are the 2015's rated the same?

Highest GVWR on a 2015 is 7850. 400 lbs difference could be because of the aluminum.

What is the year, configuration and options on your. 8200 GVWR truck.

It seems like they are lowering the GVWR numbers to not compete with the super duty market because everything axle, frame, suspension, and brakes should be basically the same. So with the Aluminum body and 8000lbs+ GVWR they would pushing 3/4-1ton specs.

I got to sit in a lariat today. loaded with every option available. payload sticker was just short of 1600 lbs.

An Ontario Canada high volume dealer recently got some 2015 5L V8 Lariat and XLTs in. Nice thing about their web site is all the pictures. The last picture usually is the yellow payload sticker on the door jamb, next to last has the GVWR.
